On my way home from Kathy's, after a wonderful walk in her woods & fields, I saw, in the dim light, a couple of ducks land in a cornfield. Took me awhile to find them but they were close enough to see the brilliant plumage of the male WOOD DUCK with the female close by ... my first in '10.
Oh, she did miss one other bird for yesterday ... we watched a pr. of Chickadees at Mud Lock. One was taking debris out of a hole in a stump getting ready to set up housekeeping!!
