I spent three hours (4:00 to 7:00 p.m.) tonight searching for the Red Phalarope along the autoloop and I also did not see the phalarope. I did see the same birds that Mike listed as well as a Northern Harrier and an American Bittern. There were sparrows flitting about in the grass and bushes between the drive and the marsh approximately three or four hundred yards from the sharp left hand turn. It was too dark to make an id.
