GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE CANVASBACK RUDDY DUCK NORTHERN HARRIER MERLIN PEREGRINE FALCON SANDHILL CRANE ICELAND GULL GLAUCOUS GULL SHORT-EARED OWL GREAT HORNED OWL SCREECH OWL NORTHERN SHRIKE GRAY CATBIRD RUSTY BLACKBIRD COMMON REDPOLL PINE SISKIN Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC) ------------ 12/26: A SHORT-EARED OWL was seen on VanDyne Spoor Road. 12/27: 2 SANDHILL CRANES were seen south of Rt.31 at the mucklands. Madison County ------------ 12/26: A GLAUCOUS GULL was seen at the Madison County landfill. 12/30: 2 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen on Holmes Road south of Cazenovia. 12/31: 3 ICELAND GULLS were found at the Madison County landfill. Oneida County ------------ 12/26: 2 ICELAND GULLS were seen behind Shniebel’s restaurant at Verona Beach. A GREATER WHITE FRONTED GOOSE was seen at at Sylvan Beach. 1/1: Highlights of the Oneida CBC were CANVASBACK, ICELAND GULL, GREAT HORNED OWL, SCREECH OWL, COMMON RAVEN, RUSTY BLACKBIRD, and PINE SISKIN. A MERLIN was seen in Rome near the old Griffiss Air Base. Onondaga County ------------ 12/29: A PEREGRINE FALCON was seen on Connor’s Road south of Baldwinsville. 12/31: 3 FISH CROWS were seen at the Marina in Liverpool on Onondaga Lake. 1/1: A NORTHERN SHRIKE was found on Perry Road west of Baldwinsville. 35 RUDDY DUCKS were in with other waterfowl at the north end of Otisco Lake. 1/2: A NORTHERN HARRIER was seen at the corner of E. Sorrell Hill and Conner’s Roads south of Baldwinsville. Oswego County ------------ 12/29: 3 PINE SISKINS were seen in Constantia. 1/1: A GRAY CATBIRD was seen in Constantia. A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen on South Daysville Road.
