Mid-day at Stewart Park:

Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) 240
Wood Duck (Aix sponsa) - 1 male, first near the Fall Creek outlet then
drifting into the Aythya raft
Gadwall (Anas strepera) - 2, a pair far out
American Wigeon (Anas americana) 1 male, flying with some Mallards
American Black Duck (Anas rubripes) 32
Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) 720

Two huge Aythya rafts. The raft west of the lighthouse jetty was
larger, too far to scope easily for species composition but it was
still >90% Redhead. The other Aythya listed below were all in the raft
right in front of Stewart, close to shore.
Canvasback (Aythya valisineria) 55
Redhead (Aythya americana) 3500 - 1100 in a raft in front of Stewart,
2400 in a raft west of the lighthouse jetty
Ring-necked Duck (Aythya collaris) 30
Greater Scaup (Aythya marila) 5 (probably more, I didn't do a
thorough job of delineating Scaup numbers)
Lesser Scaup (Aythya affinis) 50

Long-tailed Duck (Clangula hyemalis) 1 female, close and straight out
Common Goldeneye (Bucephala clangula) 20
Common Merganser (Mergus merganser) 6
Ruddy Duck (Oxyura jamaicensis) 1 female, seen once in the Aythya raft
Common Loon (Gavia immer) 3
Double-crested Cormorant (Phalacrocorax auritus) 1
American Coot (Fulica americana) - 10 Far to the northeast near some docks

Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) 2
Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia) - 2 in the weedy patch by the dock

Good Birding,
Nick
