Hey all,

I had mostly the same birds that others had around Montezuma on Sunday,
though I had just a single Long-billed Dowitcher at May's Point around 1 PM.
And I saw at least 4 Dunlin at Puddler's still, along with a late, distant
SPOTTED SANDPIPER and two Sandhill Cranes. (And the avocet sleeping in the
back right corner).

I'm mostly writing to corroborate the Purple Martin sighting though. I
heard - but never saw - a PURPLE MARTIN near the refuge visitor's center,
foraging with a small group of Tree Swallows. I can't say that I know
anything about other martin vocalizations, but it struck me as textbook
Purple chittering, so there seems to be at least one individual around the
complex still.
