As part of the group that relocated to Carncross Rd. this evening where we had excellent looks at three Short-eared Owls, I should note that the distant "possibilities" that Colleen referred to were indeed distant Short-eared Owls. They were quite far out and we tried to help many in the large group get visuals on them, but they were constantly in view towards the direction of Carncross, which is why we ended up heading that way.
