Sue and I have been birding some of the great spots in the ADK. On one trek well into an old RR bed and into boreal habitat of Massawepie, we spotted a very unusual speck coming at us from a great distance. As time passed we were able to ID this critter as one Steve Fast, the only other human we had seen in days of exploring these great areas!
