Speaking of Kingfisher nest sites, I think I found one, too. Yesterday around
8pm I was pulling up to the stop sign at the intersection of Myers Rd. and
Lakeshore Rd. (near the entrance to Myers Park). A Kingfisher flew overhead
with a fish in its bill. Looking in my rearview mirror, I could see a
cliff-like projection with exposed soil (similar to what I have previously seen
Kingfishers nest in), just behind the "camp wood" trailer. I drive this route
every day to and from my home, and the Kingfisher is regularly seen here; this
is the first time I've seen it carrying a fish to that area. I'll return and
see if I can confirm the nest site, but anyone heading down to see the Salt
Point Osprey could easily pull off at the turnout there and confirm my
suspicions.

Speaking of PRAIRIES, Susie & I found 3 today: one in white pines at the
corner of Bald Hill School and Grove School Rds. in Brooktondale, and 2 among
smallish white pines in an old field at the south end of Creamery Rd. near its
intersection with Robinson Hollow Rd., town of Richford. Also found a
Kingfisher nest hole along Griggs Gulf Rd., Town of Harford. This is only the
second kingfisher nest we have ever found.
