RHWOs were definitely bringing out fecal material this morning...saw it twice. Given that the young inside are not so big as to prevent the adults from entering easily, I'd say it will be a week yet before fledging, maybe longer.
Photos to come... On 7 July I saw each adult tossing wood chips from separate apparently old holes in the same dead tree. I think they have since concentrated on just one of those holes. --Dave Nutter -- Cayugabirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/cayugabirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Cayugabirds 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/CAYU.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
