Today morning I gave one more try to look for Ison, but as usual the clouds were exactly in the same corner as the comet Ison. I chose to drive to Game Farm road to get the better view of eastern sky, though it was only slightly better than from my home. There seems to be no locations in Ithaca area where you can watch eastern horizon. Anybody has any suggestions? Nevertheless, the trip was worth it. I got to hear Great-horned owls, I presume a pair, claiming their territory from about 6.00 am to almost 6.45 am. I heard the Ring-necked pheasants waking up. Each of them had a different sound when they woke up. I also heard some passerines dawn song, I am not sure what they were.
