Such exuberance, such joy from Alexis! Becky, John & I have often felt this
way. Yes, we have stood looking up at the geese, waving & crying out a welcome
to the returning flocks & then waving good-bye & wishing them a good winter
when we see them heading south.
Silly? Maybe, but we have long loved seeing our feathered friends. For yrs.
before ever moving to Union Springs from Dryden, we used to come here to see
the great flocks of geese.

And then, having a chickadee perch a 1/2 second on my hand to take a seed,
seeing those intense little black eyes looking at me ..... the thrill of a
lifetime, a rare gift (along with many others over a lifetime.)

With its massive wing span in full view, I exclaimed, "It's a snowy owl!"
......... I opened the window and started laughing and calling out, "You're
amazing! Thank you so much!" It then dropped back a bit, flying over the car.
Then it flew in front of us on the driver side, leading us for quite a stretch,
while I continued to laugh and announce thanks, before it dropped over the car
and then out of view. With thanks, Alexis
