Following the Wilson Trail where it skirts the pond past the feeder blind, when it starts curving away from the pond to the footbridge, there is a little clearing to the left. This is where the bird was pointed out to me when I got there, and as I watched it flew into the brush away from the trail in the direction of Sherwood Platform.
