I happened to be on foot in Ithaca's Fall Creek neighborhood about 1:45
yesterday afternoon, so I looked in on the Merlin nest along Cascadilla Creek,
and watched for a few minutes. It was pretty quiet, but I did see one falcon
leave the nest, take a series of perches in nearby trees over the course of
five minutes, and finally return to the nest vocalizing. Nice treat!

At 2:15 this morning I had a different kind of treat. A bear ravaged my
sunflower feeder. The dogs made a huge commotion about it, and it took a long
to to quiet them, Yawn! Wonder if I can fix this?
