Animals sense the eclipse. We did experiments to study effect of Total Solar eclipse on animal behaviors in India. They become quite restless. So night animals might have something similar effect on total lunar eclipse.
I am glad so many got to see the eclipse, the weather god cooperated with us! I also took the opportunity to look at the two galaxies when there was totality. I could see very clearly Andromeda and the galaxy in Cassiopeia. Seems we are a stopping ground for screechies on the move over the last three years-and just for a couple of days in the fall. While watching the eclipse from our driveway we had a super clear and cloudless view. The Milky Way was bright and we saw two amazing shooting stars. Gorgeous evening.
