I go out to fill our bird feeders after dark every day. Sometimes I hear the call of a great horned owl, barred owl, or screech owl. Wednesday night I think I heard a barn owl scream--a very even trill lasting 2-4 seconds, repeated every minute or so about 6 times. I never heard this call before. Reports of barn owls in this area are very rare on Ebird, and I wonder if I should be thinking of something else.
