Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and and Montezuma Wetlands Complex 
(MWC)

     2/2: A SNOWY OWL and a MERLIN were seen along the mucklands on Rt.31 west 
of the Seneca River.

     2/3: The SNOWY OWL was seen again in the mucklands. A PEREGRINE FALCON was 
seen on Rt. 89 north of Mays Point Road.







Onondaga County

------------




     1/28: 68 SNOW BUNTINGS were seen on the West Shore Trail on Onondaga Lake.

     1/29: An EASTERN TOWHEE continues at a feeder south of Manlius. A 
RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD was seen on the West Shore Trail on Onondaga Lake. 

     1/30: A SNOWY OWL was seen near Caughdenoy Road in Clay.

     2/1: A VESPER SPARROW continues on Banner Road in Tully. A GLAUCOUS GULL 
was seen at the Inner Harbor in Syracuse.

     2/2: A HERMIT THRUSH was seen at Beaver Lake Nature Center.

     2/3: A SAVANNAH SPARROW was seen on East Sorrell Hill Road in 
Baldwinsville. 45 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen on Dunham Road west of 
Baldwinsville. A MERLIN and a NORTHERN SHRIKE were seen on the West Shore Trail 
on Onondaga Lake. An ICELAND GULL and a PEREGRINE FALCON were seen at the Inner 
Harbor in Syracuse. A SAW-WHET OWL was seen again at Beaver Lake Nature Center.

     2/4: A PINE SISKIN continues at a feeder in Manlius.







Oswego County

------------




     1/31: A BLACK-LEGGED KITTYWAKE and a LITTLE GULL were seen at Oswego 
Harbor but have not been relocated

     2/2: This was a stellar day for waterfowl in Oswego Harbor. Highlights 
were an adult male KING EIDER, at least 3 SURF SCOTERS and a female BLACK 
SCOTER. LONG-TAILED DUCKS numbered close to 500. Also present were both SCAUP, 
REDHEAD, BUFFLEHEAD, WHITE-WINGED SCOTER, CANVASBACK, COMMON MERGANSER, 
RED-BREASTED MERGANSER and HOODED MERGANSER. Other highlights were ICELAND 
GULL, GLAUCOUS GULL, PEREGRINE FALCON and RED-NECKED GREBE. 

     2/3: Most of the Waterfowl were still present at Oswego and are stiil 
present today. A RED-HEADED WOODPECKER was seen at the north end of Nine Mile 
Point Road near Noyes Sanctuary on Lake Ontario.







Madison County

------------




     The HARRIS’S SPARROW was still present on Borden Road in Earlville and was 
seen as recently as 2/3.

     2/2: A COMMON REDPOLL was seen on Bonney Hill Road near Hamilton.

     2/4: A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen on Eaton Brook Road in Erieville.







 Oneida County

------------




     1/321: An EVENING GROSBEAK was seen in Waterville.







Herkimer county

------------




     EVENING GROSBEAKS continue daily at a feeder north of Dolgeville.

     1/31: 3 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen at a feeder in Cedarville.
