Cayuga County ------------ 3/30: 3 ROSS’S GEESE were found with about 100 SNOW GEESE on Maiden Lane in Port Byron. Derby Hill Bird Observatory ------------ 3,478 Raptors were counted in migration this week. 15 GOLDEN EAGLES were counted. On 3/28 a CACKLING GOOSE and 4 SANDHILL CRANES were spotted. seen. On 3/29 a NORTHERN GOSHAWK was seen and on 3/30 an ICELAND GULL was found. Oswego County ------------ 3/29: An EASTERN TOWHEE was seen at Noyes Sanctuary. 3/30: A RED-THROATED LOON was seen in Oswego Harbor. 3/31: A LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was seen from Mercer Street east of Fort Ontario in Oswego. The BLACK SCOTER and adult male KING EIDER continue in Oswego Harbor. A RED-THROATED LOON was seen on Oneida Lake from Tuttle Road in Bridgeport. Onondaga County ------------ 3/27: A LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was see at Jamesville Beach Park. A PINE SISKIN was seen at a feeder in Pompey. 3/30: A LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL and a RED-THROATED LOON were seen on Onondaga Lake from the West Shore Trail. 30 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen at a feeder in Fayetteville. 3/31: A LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was see on Rt. 80 east of Apulia Station. 4/1: 2 RED-THROATED LOONS were seen in Skaneateles. Madison county ------------ EVENING GROSBEAKS continue at feeders on Carpenter Road in Sheds and Eden Hollow Road near Erieville. Oneida County ------------ 3/26: 8 EVENING GROSBEAKS and a NORTHERN GOSHAWK were seen on Furman Road east of Boonville. A RED CROSSBILL was heard also.
