This is a first for the Cayuga Lake Basin, and according to eBird the first NYS record was a single bird one year ago near Saratoga Springs, again migrating north. My bet is it’s one bird and the same one as last year. I’d be happy to be proven wrong with more birds or sightings, and better views.
