The snow today didn't seem to ground too many watetfowl on southern Cayuga Lake this morning, but the scene was more dramatic at the Cortland gravel pits this evening, with nearly 50 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, two late Iceland Gulls, and uncommon-for-Cortland Long-tailed Duck and White-winged Scoters resting on the water there.
