Hey Robert,

I had to go back to the old rack and test this out : ) I always remember
when I was studying that I put it on the sub-interface, and my testing has
confirmed this.

I set up basic frame-relay... R2 as the hub with a multipoint
subinterface. R5 and R6 the spokes with physical interfaces. I made R2 the
auto-rp advertiser and MA. I put ip pim nbma-mode on the R2 sub-interface,
and igmp join-group 239.0.0.5 on the spoke interfaces. Check out part of
the mroute on R2:

(*, 239.0.0.5), 00:08:38/00:03:21, RP 200.0.0.2, flags: SJC
Incoming interface: Null, RPF nbr 0.0.0.0
  Outgoing interface list:
    Serial2/0.256, 150.100.100.6, Forward/Sparse-Dense, 00:00:08/00:03:21
    Serial2/0.256, 150.100.100.5, Forward/Sparse-Dense, 00:02:17/00:03:12

So as we can see, it sees both spokes joining, but differentiates them by IP
address, not just interface. So, I believe putting it on the sub-interface
works fine.
