Well, I never meant assigning SVI on a L2 device , since i mentioned in my first mail itself. but i tried the config on the packet tracer since the config was pretty basic and was able to assign 2 IP addresses 2 VLANs and regardless of IPs , just with "no shutdown" command the interface vlans were up, may be a glitch but i got the results that i sent.
I know that you are talking abt router on a stick with the subinterface on the router config in you mail adrian however what i was trying that whether i will be able to UP the vlans in the switch 2950 or not ? thanks for the feed guys ...
