I just upgraded from a Dell Latitude D630 with 2 GB of RAM to a Dell Latitude
e6400 [Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.53GHz and 4 GB of RAM] running Windows 7. I have to
say that I'm pretty happy with this configuration, now I can run the entire
IPexpert topology in GNS3. Like others I'm also having high CPU and memory
utilization issues, but that was to be expected, I grateful that it runs at all
:)

Tyson, I followed your blog posting on the setup and it works like a champ ---
Thank you!

Steve

The more powerful your computer the better the topology will run.

Hi Irfan,

your pc/laptop configuration likes mine.Unfortunately there is no luck to
decrease memory usage..

Well it also depends what series you intend to run.

I too have recently bought i7 notebook with 4 GB ram. When I run 3725, I can
easily run 15 router topology at 18% CPU with 3.6 GB ram utilization. But when
I run any other series, even with 4 routers sometimes it goes up to 90% despite
setting IDLEPC again and again. So my recommendation to you would be to use
3725 series and runs pretty smooth.

I followed Tyson instructions from the blog , my CPU is running most of the
times 90%, but using only memory 3GB( i am ok with this)

what you did to get the CPU down, i tried all different Idlepc but still same
issue
