This simply means you are running older code. tag switching is the legacy
proprietary implementation.

I am guessing your router is 12.3 mainline or below.

But don't worry. Your configuration is correct. When you enter your newer
commands the router converts it to the legacy commands.

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] MPLS Question?

I am working on Lab 28 and need to setup MPLS with LDP...I ran the following
commands to begin the basic configuration of my MPLS: (only pertinent info
displayed)

Ip cef

Mpls ip

Mpls ldp router-id loopback 0

Mpls label protocol ldp

!

Int ser 0/0.25

Mpls ip

!

.......and here is what shows up in the router configuration:

ip cef

mpls label protocol ldp

tag-switching tdp router-id Loopback0

!

interface Serial0/0.25 point-to-point

 ip address 150.50.25.2 255.255.255.252

 tag-switching ip

No matter what I do this always shows up...I erased the startup
configuration and it still always shows this when I configure MPLS. Why
would "tag-switching tdp router-id Loopback0" show up instead of "mpls ldp
router-id loopback0" ?

Kind regards.
