Just curious if anyone can shed some light.

Hey All,

I have configured this a little different and I am wondering if I would have
scored the points or am I missing something

The concern is R9 - I just used it to leverage MSDP and did not configure
any interface with PIM nor did I configure it as a RP.

#############

My configuration

#############

R9 (This is all that I have configured on R9)

__

ip multicast-routing

ip msdp peer 166.14.14.14 connect-source Loopback0

ip msdp peer 166.4.4.4 connect-source Loopback0

ip msdp originator-id Loopback0

R9(config)#do sh ip msdp peer

MSDP Peer 166.4.4.4 (?), AS 456

##############

DSG configuration

R6

__

interface multilink 69

ip pim sparse mode

R9

__

ip multicast-routing

inter lo 0

ip pim sparse-mode

inter fas 0/1.789

ip pim sparse-mode

inter muli 69

ip pim sparse-mode

ip pim rp-address 166.9.9.9 override
