Usually either removing and re-adding failover, or reloading both ASAs
clears this up. I've seen this error message occasionally, but it's not
something that I've been able to recreate on demand.

Hi

I'm setting up the Remote VPN on the ASA server which is configured in
failover mode. When I try and connect via the VPN client I am unable to so
and get the following debug message:

[IKEv1]: IKE receiver: Local unit is failover enabled but is not currently
active.

This unit is configured as the primary and is active. Once I disable the
failover pair the remote VPN connects and works as expected.

As a test I have also re-pointed the VPN client at the address of the
standby ASA to see if that works, but the standby ASA then responds with the
same debug message as above and I'm still unable to connect.

Any advice

Kind Regards

David
