Well guys hate to be a bearer of bad news, but the new official numbers are out for the last 3 months and once again its not good reading for the Security folk.
Nearly 600 new R&S IE's since the end of June, and a massive 0 (Zero) Security IE's. I can only summize that these numbers are not entirely accurate, based on the recent claims of a small handful of people passing the lab. Or the possibility that some may have expired, either way its pretty appalling reading considering the increases in every other track. *Total of Worldwide CCIEs: 20690 (last updated 09/24/2009)* Total of Routing and Switching CCIEs: 17826 *Total of Security CCIEs: 2328* Total of Service Provider CCIEs: 1588 Total of Storage Networking CCIEs: 148 Total of Voice CCIEs: 1077 Total of Wireless CCIEs: 14 *Total of Worldwide CCIEs: 20003 (last updated 06/26/2009) * Total of Routing and Switching CCIEs: 17247 *Total of Security CCIEs: 2328* Total of Service Provider CCIEs: 1414 Total of Storage Networking CCIEs: 145 Total of Voice CCIEs: 1039 Total of Wireless CCIEs: 6 http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/ccie/certified_ccies/worldwide.html Stu
