I have never heard of it although I thought of doing it for a while on the ASA's. There is a known incompatibility between 8.0(2) and 8.0(3) and above with EIGRP. It just doesn't work. So I thought of doing that in a troubleshooting section but decided against it in the end because I thought it would be unfair for Cisco to do but you never know.
