Hi all

Gratuitous ARP can be used as Gratuitous ARP reply and request

*Gratuitous ARP request*

Gratuitous ARP request packets are sent out when a hosts need to check
for duplicate address. The src and dst IP
address are the same IP address and the Target address is broadcast. If
there is a reply then it means there is an
other host using the same IP address. Following is Gratuitous ARP
request capture.

Ethernet II, Src: 02:02:02:02:02:02, Dst: ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
    Destination: ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff (Broadcast)
    Source: 02:02:02:02:02:02 (02:02:02:02:02:02)
    Type: ARP (0x0806)
    Trailer: 000000000000000000000000000000000000
Address Resolution Protocol (request/gratuitous ARP)
    Hardware type: Ethernet (0x0001)
    Protocol type: IP (0x0800)
    Hardware size: 6
    Protocol size: 4
    Opcode: request (0x0001)
    Sender MAC address: 02:02:02:02:02:02 (02:02:02:02:02:02)
    Sender IP address: 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1)
    Target MAC address: ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff (Broadcast)
    Target IP address: 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1)

*Gratuitous ARP reply*

Gratuitous ARP reply packet is sent out when an host needs to update
the ARP table of the hosts that are connected
in the local subnet. Well this is used for ARP poisoning.

Just wanted to confirm, that in a Gratuitous ARP reply, the only
change is OPcode of 2.

Are the sender MAC, src IP, Target MAC and IP are correct?
