Hello All,

I was trying out Port-forwarding using IOS SSL VPN. The doc-cd says that
after the port-forwarding applet starts runnnig, it takes a backup of the
old HOSTS file and creates a new HOSTS file with the port mapping entries.

When i start the thin-client applet, i see that the old "hosts" file is
being backed-up as a file named "hosts.webvpn" . But the new "hosts" file
does not contain any details additional entries. It looks like the SSLVPN
has not added any lines to this? I do not see any indication of how the
local-ip,local-port is being mapped to a remote-ip,remote-port?

I tested the functionality of this port-forward setup and it works just as
expected. When i telnet to localhost on port 2002, i am forwared to a
remote-ip's telnet port.

Can anyone tell me if i'm missing something?

Cheers,
TacACK

P.S : I'm yet to test this on an ASA to see if it exhibits the
same behavior when i configure it to do port-forwarding.
