I have never seen anything that can do that - in the lab - I always just move
on to other tasks - then cycle back in 15 elapsed minutes or so and run the
verifications.

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Security] NTP question

hi guys,

need some guidance on NTP related configuration.

is there any way / tips to quickly ascertain the NTP configuration is working
correctly ?

typically, we configure the NTP server and NTP client accordingly, and do "show
ntp status" or "show ntp association details" to find out whether the NTP
device have sync to each other, however, we know that it typically takes a
while to be sync'ed.

is there any way for us to do to speed up the confirmation whether the NTP is
coming up or not ? so that we can proceed to troubleshoot further by looking
into the configuration or any firewall in between them for example if they are
not coming up.

thanks in advance

regards
KY
