hi Guys i understand that similar question was asked, however, just wanted to be very sure on the understanding.
regarding whether "IP nbar protocol-discovery" is required or not in the interface configuration when you have nbar traffic classification using class-map/policy-map, as per example shown in the url, however, the questions were surrounding with whether "ip nbar protocol-discovery" is needed for "classifying mitigating attack using NBAR?". but my question will be whether "ip nbar protocol-discovery" needed for classifying the traffic and subsequently applying "Bandwidth management" on the policymap ? http://onlinestudylist.com/archives/ccie_security/2008-December/017788.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg07886.html meaning, do we need to have the interface discover all the traffic statistic using ip nbar protocol-discovery and then the action on the policy-map to provide the BW management by referencing the statistic collected ? or it's totally independent ? thanks in advance Regards KY
