The PIX cannot do AnyConnect or Webvpn. Its only supported on the ASA.
However if you were to get anything on the lab its usually just enabling
AnyConnect to work and nothing in depth since you can’t use ASDM.

If you setup your group-policy and tunnel-group and enable the svc image, you
should be good. Obviously I would be familiar on how to do basic setup of
Anyconnect/webvpn, but I think it’s a good handoff for the speed increase you
get with GNS3 and the PIX image.

Here is a good example if any is wondering on setting up a AnyConnect VPN on
the ASA

Also if your still interested in trying, this is a good article for setting it
up

You guys can run the PIX “hardware” image in GNS3 up to 8.0.4 code. That’s
what I use. Its almost identical to the ASA. For all intensive purposes it is
the same for the lab. I have always had trouble with the ASA emulation in GNS3,
and the PIX emulation is much faster.

Hope this helps.

Hi Leon,

Yes the website is shut down due to cisco complain. Appreciate if you could
share out the VM image in some public repository.

Hi,

U may search for asa image project by google or baidu. It is a iso image for
emulating asa on vmware 7. It can run asa upto 8,02. However, the official
website was suspended this year.
