Kashif, IPX racks are the best and most economic as Johan already suggested. Go for the rack rentals and save time if you really do not want to get side tracked by using your own rack or GNS3. By the way one ASA will cost around $1500..... or more, not to mention the cost of IPS........:)
And after a while all this equipment will be obsolete. Owning a rack is good for those students who work for a company which has lots of extra equipment sitting in its basement and they can borrow loaner devices from Cisco depending on the account. For individual like myself, go with the rack rental. GNS3 is just for small stuff but make sure you stay away from GNS3 troubleshooting to save your time.......:) Best Regards. ______________________ Adil On Aug 28, 2011, at 6:00 AM, Kash iqbal wrote: > HI GUYS , > Dont you suggest to go for Rack rental , despite of buying the whole Rack > > 400 hours is roughly 1500 $ if i am getting it right . > > Regards > > Kashif > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected]; [email protected]; > [email protected] > Date: Sun, 28 Aug 2011 11:12:22 +0200 > Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_Security] Newbie Question > > Hi, > > like I told you I don´t know how much anymore ...
