Absolutely confusing ;) I'd say it doesn't make any difference. From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mike Rojas Sent: Sunday, June 10, 2012 3:04 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Security] CIR vs Police
Hello I have another question in regards of the last topics on the CCIE. When they ask you to drop certain type of traffic when it exceeds X amount of Mbps, we have basically two options with MQC: Police and put a value Police CIR Now, One exercise brought that question, they configured rate with ICMP but I did it with the police command only. When testing, I got the exact same result. What would be the difference and when should we applied one another? Mike Rojas
