I agree with the statement that it is pointless to remember out-of-date things. But on the other hand if it is written in the blueprint for CCIE Sec v3 that we have to know RFC 1918 and RFC 3330, I'm going to remorize that stuff anyway (even if it is obsolete), because the most important thing for me right now is to pass the exam :-)
