My question is regarding mail-relay feature within ESMTP type policy-maps. If the policy map gets applied on the outside interface, would the mail-relay entry (e.g. mycompany.com) restrict inbound mail to our internal mail server as well as restrict outbound mail to public mail servers etc? From what I know interface-based policy-maps are for ingress and egress traffic. Just not positive about the mail-relay nuances.
