Yes, a DNS is a must when you want to use your machine as a DC.
Also, do not forget to install IIS before installing your CA, so that you can 
use browser based certificate request handling.

i am installing the CA server on my 2003 dc, should i  to install the DNS 
server?

im really not a microsoft guy anymore..

do you know what steps i need to do for the CA server and DNS server as it 
pertains to the ccie wireless lab?

i have the CA server installed , just wanted to make sure it was correct
