There is a difference between allowing routes to be advertised by EIGRP
(Network command) and allowing EIGRP updates to run across interfaces.
The link between Cat1 and Cat2 only really needs one of the VLAN's to
carry the updates, but all subnets need to be added into the EIGRP
process.

Does that help at all?

Subject: [CCIE Wireless] Lab 2.6: EIGRP

Hi again,
I was interpreting the question against the DSG, 2 lines caught my eye:
A) Only subnet shared between the 2 sites should participate in EIGRP as
well as the HQNetMgmt subnet (VL 10)
B) Use as few commands as possible for this exercise....

For part a, I was really thinking in the line that only the point to
point link between HQ and MO should be declare in CAT2 and CAT4 while
VLAN 10 network command should declare in CAT1 & 2.

CAT1:
router eigrp 1
passive default
no passive vl 10
network 10.10.10.0 0.0.0.255
red connec
no au

(there is only one static default route listed in CAT1 config hence not
included as part of eigrp)

CAT2:
Router eigrp 1
passive default
no passive vl 10
no passive f0/22
network 10.10.10.0 0.0.0.255
network 172.16.99.0 0.0.0.3
red con
red sta
! Only 2 static route here: 1 to CME, 1 to home network via vlan 1(if I
interpret home network correctly)) no au

CAT4:
router eigrp 1
passive default
no pass f0/22
network 172.16.99.0 0.0.0.3
no au
red con

With these, I can get all subnets from CAT4 in CAT 1&2 and vice versa
albeit having them all as D EX routes. But the question in concern did
not mentioned anything about the type of routes expected.

Is this interpretation plausible or somewhere somehow my interpretation
skills sux, as with my english too.

Alvin B.
(P.S As you can already see from my questions so far, I've justed
started the labs. Already went thru Lab1, bull dozing thru Lab 2 and so
on now..please be patient with me for those who r nearing the final
labs)
