I agree that it is not the scope of CCIE Wireless however sometimes the problem could come from CME side for example CME port on the switch is not configured properly but unintentionally. It is your responsibility to find out if proctor didn't do a good job. It sounds bad but that can be a part of lab, too. Please make sure you check thoroughly if somehow phone is not registering or you don't get voice in proper queue and etc. Sometimes you can request proctor to reboot the CME if you think it's better option to save time.
