I've also used a light tree tripod (the Impact LS-13HB from B&H Photo), with
the top pole replaced with PVC pipe to minimize the metal interference.  On
top of that, I mounted a rebar cap (part number PC110 at Home Depot).  I put
a thick stip of velcro on that, as well as on my APs.  It was then simple to
attach and remove the APs.  I also used the Tessco battery packs.  Of
course, these kits didn't have wheels, but it was easy to move them to
almost any location (thankfully - I didn't have to fly with them!)  And,
they were definitely cheaper as well.
