Thanks for the replies guys!

Blake,

I did use quotes to enter the option 60 string. IOS just hides them in the
running config on the newer code that I installed.

Switch(dhcp-config)#option 60 ascii "Cisco AP c1250"
Switch(dhcp-config)#do show run | b vlan114
ip dhcp pool vlan114
   network 10.10.114.0 255.255.255.0
   default-router 10.10.114.1
   option 43 hex f104.0a0a.6f0a
   dns-server 10.10.210.6
   domain-name rensink.local
option 60 ascii Cisco AP c1250

Though if it was a mis-type of the VCI string, wouldn't that make it so
that none of the APs get the option 43 info?

Nawar,

I tried your syntax verbatim and still get the same result. All APs
(regardless of model) get the DHCP option 43 info. For giggles, I also
tried using my router as the DHCP server and still saw the same results.

Am I understanding the role of option 60 correctly? From what I gather,
when option 60 is configured, the DHCP request has to make a match on that
string before option 43 info will be returned. Otherwise, what's the point
of even configuring it if every AP that asks for option 43 gets it?
