Could someone points me to a paper explaining how an AP would dynamically find the WDS master on the network ?
So far, I read the configuration guide of the current IOS versions, for the 1240AG for instance.
From this CG, I can read this in the section : Configuring Access Points to use the WDS Device
The access points that you configure to interact with the WDS automatically perform these steps: • Discover and track the current WDS device and relay WDS advertisements to the wireless LAN. •Authenticate with the WDS device and establish a secure communication channel to the WDS device. •Register associated client devices with the WDS device.
I also explored a couple of books : CCNA Wireless, CCNA Wireless from Todd Lamle without any luck.
