We had a similar problem with our CC setup a couple of versions ago.
I ended up extending the time between build checks but I seem to
remember that the server log still contained several checks a second
on our source code repository machine. I look at my current server
logs and it appears I have none for the weekend (slow period) that
would give me any indications. I will try to keep an eye on my logs
to see if I can help out with this issue. I am interested in finding
a solution (if I still have aproblem). Previously it was so bad that
my build server was very slow to respond. Currently I am not seeing
any issues but I have uninstalled the dashboard so that could be part
of it.
