I am not a Cruise Control expert but have used it from time to time. I
recently went through some version level issues that brought me to *CCnet
v1.6 to solve my requirment for TFS-2010 and the working Source Control
Block* that new version
gave me. I had one (1) Project that I performed all my VSTS Source Control
Block testing and got all my issues resolved with help from this forum and
hard work! *Once the 'Model' of using VSTS was fixed I could insert this
model into about 40 differant projects in my ccnet.config file.* The reason
I did all of this VSTS work is I want to use my same build scripts but *pull
source code from TFS-2010 (VSTS) and not Subversion (SVN)* as I was doing.
*This
change worked fine for the one project and I tested this by launching the
Cruise Control Dashboard by using, with no changes at all at the following
URL;*
http://localhost/ccnet/ViewFarmReport.aspx which with the *one project it
displayed it just fine* and I did a 'force' and saw the result and I went
into my TFS-2010 source and made a change and saw the build happen again.
So cool you say....so I inserted my new model in like 40+ projects and these
by the way ran through the Cruise Control Validation tool without any
reported errors *BUT*.....when I bring up the Dashboard now it fails with
the error of *" Request processing has failed on the remote server: Index
and length must refer to a location within the string. Parameter name:
length"*
I looked everywhere for what this is about thinking I have to set-up the
number of projects for the Dashboard in dashboard.config or something but
cannot find it. I compared the v1.5 settings in dashboard.config and the
web.config and find nothing!
Please help...this cannot be that hard to run!
