I just wanted to second the thanks to Dave and the SBGrid. Like Bill and the CCP4 team, he has done tremendous work in getting a number of applications working on OS X machines with available source code and cooperation from developers. This includes some cryoEM image processing programs as well. In some cases, Dave has optimized code and used commercial compilers like xlf to produce some amazing results. In real time tests, the CNS executable he produced (for PPC Macs) is 2X or more faster than a g77 compile. When we ran into a few snags with virus refinements, he worked with us to fix the problems. This and other binaries are posted on their web site at www.sbgrid.org.
