A reminder that the 2006 Gordon Research Conference on Diffraction
Methods in Structural Biology will be held in July this year (see below
for details). The program features talks from leaders in the field of
structural biology methods development, and talks highlighting difficult
structure solutions including the 70S ribosome (Jamie Cate, UC
Berkeley), Dicer (Jennifer Doudna, UC Berkeley), and Fatty acid synthase
(Timm Maier, ETH). The program also features talks about structural
methods such as cryo-EM, electron diffraction, neutron diffraction,
electron cryo-tomography (Grant Jensen, Caltech) and diffractive imaging
(Chris Jacobsen, SUNY).

The number of attendees it limited to approximately 135. There are still a few spaces left and applicants are being accepted on a first-come first-served basis.

The 2006 Gordon Research Conference on Diffraction Methods in Structural
Biology will encompass advances in the methodology for macromolecular
X-ray crystallography, and other diffraction/scattering applications.
Particularly significant structural results will be highlighted during
the meeting. All participants are expected to contribute
extensively to discussion, to present either a talk or a poster, and to
attend the entire conference.

The current scientific program can be found on the web at:
