Hello,

I'm refining a structure containing DNA and noticed that the C5 methyl
group of Thymidine isn't being held planar with the rest of the ring.
Looking at the restraints file Td.cif, I see that C5M isn't included
in the list of planarity constraints. I added the following as the
last line in the file:
 Td plan C5M 0.020

After refining the structure with C5M listed as part of the planar
ring, all the C5-Methyls in my structure now appear planar with the
rest of the ring.

Should Td.cif be changed to include C5M in the list of planar atoms?

Thanks,
Morri
