It just sends stuff over X protocol and optimizes the network traffic,
so it'll use GLX for a 3D app like Coot. If you have accelerated
indirect GLX (X.Org 7.1 has this, and I also think earlier Nvidia binary
drivers do), then you can run accelerated 3D apps across the network
with or without NX.
