i)    I am the first person to run this version (gosh, that makes me feel special!); ii)   The program is trying to write info in /usr/local/....../unix/configure.def; and you can make /usr/local/....../unix/configure.def  and the directory /usr/local/....../unix/ writable by all: sudo chmod a+w /usr/local/....../unix/configure.def  sudo chmod a+w /usr/local/....../unix/ or better I get the response sudo:  ccp4i:  command not found. use the complete path: sudo /usr/local/....../ccp4i --knut
