sorry I missed the discussion, but here goes.
I would dearly like to know if anyone else but me can get the ccp4
bltwish binary to perform correctly. In particular, there has been
a newer binary of bltwish since 9 June, which was to address the segv
problem people have been having. This is statically linked against
libBLT2.4, so otool -L should not report any dependency on libblt (I
went this route because I kept on getting clashes with apple's Tcl
framework). This was compiled using apple's gcc 4.0.0 at -O0
otherwise the segv occurred. Latter compiler versions (latest xcode,
fink's 4.1) might not have this problem, indeed Bill reports not
problems using 4.1.999 from fink.
